Elizabeth's California memorial service

Dear Friends and Family,

We will be honoring Elle in a memorial service on Saturday, November 20, 2010. The service will be held at St.Johns Lutheran Church at 11:00. The church is located at the corner of 17th and L streets with parking in the garage behind. All who wish to honor Elle are invited to attend.

We were blessed to have a beautiful service in Minnesota; thank you to those who were able to attend and also to those who helped coordinate. It was simple and perfect.

It is good to be back with family again although I must admit that I miss Minnesota. I like many things about the Mid West. Stefan and I were so looking forward to the snow, and wouldn't you know it, it snowed the night we left!! We will just have to go to Tahoe to use our snow gear I guess.

Unfortunately, Stefan will not be sledding or snow boarding soon.  He had a little bad luck a couple of nights ago and was hit pretty badly by another vehicle while turning into his parent's dirt road.  He is doing a little better now, poor guy.

Peace!

Reunited with cousin formerly known as NAY! Growing up, she now greets him, "Hi Nathan"

Pheebs always at my side now.  I reached into this bag of paperwork to find a fuzzy face.

Just more cute pics of Elle

  2. Oh, I've missed you guys and your sweet Baby Elle - thanks for posting and letting us know how you are doing. I'll be praying for Stefan that he recover completely and do what the docs tell him. Live too far away to attend the memorial but will be thinking of your sweet daughter and praying you through it.

  5. I keep coming back hoping you were going to continue to blog. Tears filled my eyes as I was reading this morning. I have been thinking of you all and "talk" to Elle every night. I even bought a butterfly ornament to place on our tree in memory of Elle.

Poor Stefan. I hope he feels better soon.

You are never far from my thoughts and Elle is always in my heart.

  6. Stefan, Becky, and Chloe...

I have been coming back here every morning since you created the blog. Glad you made it home safely. Your family (all four of you) have impacted my life and I will be forever grateful! Thank you for sharing Elle with me (and the whole world). Like Tim Ringgold always says, we are a community. I have been praying for the Pop family every day, and I will continue to do so.

I am so happy that the MN memorial went off well. I am sure it was a beautiful event and I would have loved to attend. Praying that the CA memorial goes off just as well.

Stefan, you poor thing! Hope you feel better soon.

Please know that your family is always in my thoughts, and Elle (and the rest of you)will NEVER leave my heart!

  9. Hello Pops!

I wish I were more organized right now, I'd have loved to try and come to Elle's service tomorrow. I know what you mean about missing Minnesota; we miss it too. We'll say prayers that Stephan recovers fully. When you have a chance, can you send me your address? Just send me a note on facebook. Ali drew a picture for Chloe and would love to send.

  10. Beck and Stephan,
Thanks so much for posting that you made it home and how the MN service went. You have continued to be in our prayers ever since and will continue to do so. We pray that Stephan's recovery is a swift and easy one. We live too far away to have come to the memorial today but have been there in spirit. Know that you're not alone. Sending our blessings for your strength and support,
